Overview:
Blended camphorsulfonic acid, also called camphorsulfonic acid, is a white or almost white crystalline powder. The molecular formula of camphorsulfonic acid is C10H16O4S. It has prismatic crystals and is a pair of chiral optical antipodes. It is divided into left-handed camphorsulfonic acid and right-handed camphorsulfonic acid. Its melting points are 193~195℃ and 197~200℃ respectively. Camphorsulfonic acid is a derivative of camphor and is widely used in pharmaceutical, light industry and daily chemical industries. At present, its applications are mainly focused on chiral asymmetric synthesis, highly selective catalysis of natural products, and polymerization and doping with polyaniline to prepare nanoscale conductive polymer materials.
